For her performances in "Les Misérables" and "Chess" on Broadway, both directed by Trevor Nunn, Judy was nominated for a Tony and Drama Desk Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. She was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in the London production of "Metropolis" directed by Jerome Savery. Other Tony nominated performances were for "Rags" and "She Loves Me." She also originated the role of "Betty Schaefer" in the American Premiere of "Sunset Boulevard" in Los Angeles with Glenn Close.
